Sara Herdina is a Belgrade native who holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Education and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction - Music Emphasis from Montana State University in Bozeman. Mrs. Herdina has experience teaching music from pre-school through 12th grade. She taught preK-12 music in Ryegate, MT for two years and Harlowton, MT for four. The 2016-2017 school year is her fourth year teaching K-4 general music at Saddle Peak Elementary in Belgrade, and her tenth year of teaching music!
Sara is an active performer throughout the community. She conducts a children's choir at Holy Rosary Church in Bozeman, sings in the Bozeman Symphonic Choir, and plays saxophone in the Bozeman Municipal Band. She sings frequently for weddings, church services, and other events. She is the President of the Board of Directors for Flathead Lake Music Camp, where she spends two weeks every summer teaching voice lessons and conducting the middle school choir. She has adjudicated voice at District festivals throughout the state, and recently was the guest conductor at the Mass Middle School Choir Festival in Fairfield, Montana.
Mrs. Herdina's passions include music, skiing, cooking, and playing with her five-year-old son, Gabriel and baby daughter, Rose.
